Reiki Attunements
All attunements follow the same basic ritual, but the variations in the ritual are due to the level of attunement which directly corresponds to the number of symbols drawn into the student’s hands.
Usui Reiki Attunements
Usui Reiki has three levels of attunement: Level 1 Practioner, Level 2 Practioner, and Master Teacher. The difference between the levels is that each level gives the practioner an additional ability.
Level 1 Practioner
Level 1 Practioner gives the student the ability to channel universe’s life energy, and the student learns the two basic symbols: Cho Ku Rei and Sei He Ki.
Level 2 Practioner
Level 2 Practioners are given the first two symbols again, but this time as double symbols that created doorways or sacred space. In addition to double Cho Ku Rei and double Sei He Ki, the student is also taught the symbol, Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen, which allows the student to send universe’s life energy across the distance of time and space.
Master Teacher
This level gives the students the four master symbols placed in their hands and allows them the ability to attune other students. These additional four symbols are Usui Di Ko Myo, Tibetian Di Ko Mio, Nin Giz Zida, and Raku.
